TCRA Points Report March 2010 6 Months, 1 Week ago
Below is a partial points report for March 2010. The complete report will be posted to the Texas Canoe and Kayak Racing Association website. tckra.org/

Since the report is barely readable on a 22" flatscreen, I recommend right-click save to your pc and open as a jpg image.

Re:TCRA Points Report March 2010/ Scottiedog 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Dear Scottiedog,

While others might insist on physical proof or elaborate gender testing I will simply take your word for it. Henceforth the person representing themself as "Scottie Trevino" will recognized as a member of the fairer sex.

In order to assign points I review race results and clean-up participations. Some folks I know personally and others I do not. When I don't know a person's gender or age I look for clues such as: did the person participate in a "junior women's C-2 class" or "Men's Solo Unlimited"? Even that analysis is not always reliable since people sometimes ummmm...race out of their class, e.g. person's over 18 entering junior's classes. Sometimes "kids" grow up and I miss it. Those Rask boys who whupped the men at Green's Bayou are now in the thrities and I've heard that Brian Mynar is shaving now.

Name spelling is a real bugaboo. People don't always enter races under the same name (R.D. Kissling or Randy Kissling for example) and the folks who collect entry forms may not be able to read hand-written names or they may make errors in transmission, e.g. Ginsie, Gense or Jensy.

All to say that I appreciate you taking the time to look at the report and bringing the error to my attention. My goal is to produce accuare reports and your assistance is welcome.

Next report coming shortly and will include the Reeking...err...Buffalo Bayou Regatta and other March events.
