What: Over 250 racers will compete in Austin’s first annual premiere canoe and kayak race: the Colorado River Ramble, a 5 mile recreational and 10 mile sport race benefiting the Colorado River Foundation with a spotlight on adaptive paddling and the Wounded Warriors Project.
Who: Everyone is encouraged to participate – fun for all ages and all experience levels! Beginner and competitive paddlers, children and families, Wounded Veterans and others with adaptive paddling needs are encouraged to participate.

Why: To support the Colorado River Foundation in its efforts to educate youth on the crucial need for water conservation practices, host specific programs to clean up the river, and help citizens of all ages and from all economic backgrounds understand, protect, use and enjoy the natural resources of Texas.
Additionally, through this race, presenting sponsor BAE Systems and Colorado River Foundation have partnered together to honor a special group of citizens, Wounded Veterans, through the Wounded Warriors Project to showcase these extraordinary men and women as well as area adaptive paddling programs that help make the Colorado River accessible to all.
